Let's Get Ready for some FOOTBALL!!

Superbowl is right around the corner. Even if you are not the football fan in your house, Superbowl is party time!!

Momma Vicky made some awesome appetizers for New Year's Eve and these are perfect for a Superbowl party also!!!

Don't buy those nasty frozen appetizers that never seem to cook up right in your oven. A much tastier alternative is to make them yourself! You can do this a day before and refrigerate until party time.

Here is the first recipe. Delicious pigs in a blanket.

Here is what you will need:
1 package Hillshire Farm lil Smokies (you can substitute a different brand of cocktail franks)
1 package of refrigerated crescent rolls
a cookie sheet and a cutting board and knife

open package of lil smokies
open crescent rolls and lay out on cutting board
cut crescent roll dough into strips slightly smaller than the length of the smokie and about 3 inches long. Wrap around the smokie putting it seal side down.

Place on a cookie sheet. Bake on top rack of 350 degree preheated oven. Depending on your oven, these should take about 8 minutes. They will burn on the bottom if the oven is too hot or they are baked on the bottom rack of the oven. Using a non-stick cookie sheet is best. This pan will cause the rolls to stick and possibly burn on the bottom.

Serve these with dipping sauces like spicy mustard and ketchup.
